The Southern Region SLSA Helicopter Rescue Service Pty Limited (trading as Westpac Life Saver Helicopter) is an independent subsidiary of and is wholly owned by Surf Life Saving Australia. Along with other SLSA helicopter operations we form a nation-wide aviation emergency rescue service. We operate 7 days a week from our Sydney base at La Perouse and 7 days a week during daylight hours at Moruya Airport on the NSW south coast. Funding is provided through the Westpac Banking Corporation sponsorship, the NSW Government, other fundraising initiatives and agreements for service provision with our emergency rescue partners. From the coast to inland locations we work with all other agencies to help deliver essential safety and rescue services to the community.
