Coding For Hermit Crabs seeks to create beginner-friendly content that makes beginning with computer science concepts easy for newbie to intermediate developers. So often, new learners quit early because of the breadth of knowledge required to understand even the most beginner of articles. Coding For Hermit Crabs seeks to explain complicated concepts in terms that anyone can understand. Aside from writing informative articles, Coding For Hermit Crabs is beginning its "Tidepool" initiative, where students (homeless and at-risk youth) receive a free 5-week-long Intro To Front End Development course, intended to grow their confidence, and support them in their pursuit of learning Computer Science at in self-study, bachelors and associate degrees, and bootcamps, particularly with our partner and biggest sponsor, Year Up: Greater Atlanta.
