Efficient European port The Port of Turku is an efficient and modern port focusing on services for passenger traffic and transports of processed goods. The Port’s competitiveness is based on its location at the hub of the key transport and goods flows of the Baltic Sea. Thanks to its location, the Port is also included in the TEN-T core network that connects the most important transport networks in Europe. On the TEN-T map, the Port of Turku is part of the Scandinavian–Mediterranean corridor which is the key route of the core network between northern and southern Europe. As for the Port of Turku’s connections, the core network also includes the E18 motorway via Helsinki to St. Petersburg, and the Turku–Helsinki railway.
