George A. Jenkins founded Jenkins Mortuary in 1915 and offered both horse-drawn and automobile hearses in the early years. His son-in-law, Vaughn C. Soffe, joined the business in 1938; thus, the blended name of Jenkins-Soffe. Vaughn passed away in December 2004, but his strong commitment to family service lives on with his sons and grandsons. Now, with over 100 years of experience and service to the communities of Utah, coupled with five generations of family dedication, the name Jenkins-Soffe represents tradition, commitment to the community, and personalized service to individuals and families.
