Polaritas was founded in 1984 in Budapest, Hungary. The company's fundamental activities are technological research and development. Through our matured products we are defined as a leading global specialist of Sport Technology, especially in canoe and rowing sports. Our leading product is an electro-pneumatic controlled equipment operating under the water, which is the start machine of kayak-canoe and rowing races. The product is accepted and dedicated by the international federations FISA and ICF. The patented Starting System was used successfully at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. During the development of our kayak-canoe and rowing start machine we also developed a Lane Marking System which is suitable for use on kayak-canoe and rowing courses. This system allows change-over of kayak-canoe and rowing courses within 8 hours including start machines, buoys, ready for competition even in case of storm, wind or extreme weather conditions. Among others, our newest product is DigiTrainer, which is a device capable of measuring not only the performance but also the technique of kayak-canoe and rowing athletes during training and racing. Beyond the display of important parameters (speed, time, stroke-rate, etc.) during training, the device records all measured data which can be downloaded to a PC for further analysis.
