Hikari Labs is an early-stage spin-out from Carnegie Mellon University's CyLab security and privacy institute. Hikari focuses on addressing the billion-dollar problem of online distribution of illegal, counterfeit, and diverted products, specifically by collecting, analyzing, and providing actionable intelligence about online gray or black markets. Hikari is an alumnus company of the AlphaLab incubator program, and is the recipient of a National Science Foundation SBIR grant. Hikari's data have been used in reports prepared by government agencies including the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
