Founded in 2007, March Studio is an internationally renowned office that has shaped a strong identity in extraordinary projects across all fields of architecture. Over a decade ago, our genesis was in self-initiated, not-for-profit social art projects. The playfulness of which continues to resonate in our work. Today, March Studio is a collective of architects and designers focused on realising projects with ingenuity and respect for location, materials, process, and people. Our work is embedded in the real world and so we ensure that all design responses are sustainable, inclusive, and enduring. Our projects span the institutional, residential, commercial, and community. Through our ability to involve key stakeholders and engage in community-driven outcomes, we have developed a practice that produces internationally published and award-winning work. These are just a handful of the daily inspirations we use as starting points to invert, subvert, exaggerate and confound. Our work is not only about creating functional spaces; each project intends to elevate daily experiences through design and the built environment, resulting in lasting and useful beauty. Educated in the digital environment, but passionate about handmade objects and traditional processes, we embrace the fundamentals to shape and realise our work, nurturing well-developed skills in facilitating initial conversations through to delivery. The results of our work lives in the real world, so it’s important to us that we consider and respond to both socio and sustainability expectations.
