We coordinate the development of Oslo Science City into a vibrant area where people enjoy to work, live and play, and facilitate the development of well-functioning innovation ecosystems for the commercialisation of ideas and research. With about 30 000 students, 7500 scientists, a leading university and advanced university hospital, and numerous research institutes, clusters and incubators, this is Norway's most knowledge-intensive area in fields such as health, life sciences, digitalization, climate and energy. This provides the area with great potential for becoming one of the world's top innovation districts. The district covers the areas Majorstuen, Marienlyst, Blindern, Gaustad and Ullevål in Oslo, in addition to Radiumhospitalet, a satelite campus of Oslo University Hospital.
