For nearly 40 years, the USS KIDD, a National Historic Landmark, has served as a reminder to the people of Louisiana of the service and sacrifices of our state’s veterans. Thousands of visitors from around the world have walked the decks of this great ship and marveled at her authenticity. Annually, hundreds of school children are welcomed aboard to learn about World War II and this substantial artifact that witnessed, first-hand, events that brought our nation together.
