The Auditor of Public Accounts ensures that public resources are protected, accurately valued, properly accounted for, and effectively employed to raise the quality of life of Kentuckians. The office is currently led by Auditor Mike Harmon, who's motto is "Follow The Data." Auditor Harmon created this motto for the office to explain that APA under his leadership doesn't target anyone, or doesn't give anyone a pass, but auditors simply follow the data. This commitment is to make local and state government in Kentucky more effective, efficient, and ethical.
