West Overton Village illustrates the rise of the American Industrial Revolution. A Mennonite family transformed their small agricultural village into an industrial powerhouse over the course of the 1800s. Their small frontier farm evolved into an industrial hub with a commercial coverlet factory, a distilling complex that produced one of the country’s oldest and most renowned rye whiskey brands, and a coal mine with 110 coke ovens.
