WIFT is an expert network for all stakeholders in foreign trade and export finance: export firms, banks, export credit insurance companies, associations and many more. The main goal of WIFT is to act as a competence centre for foreign trade as well as to increase the percentage of qualified women in executive positions based on networking and targeted measures. The women network engages in current topics related to foreign trade in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy in Germany. Moreover, WIFT organises expert meetings as well as a permanent communication with the international export economy. Members of the WIFT network promote female talents from all industries to achieve diversity in the foreign trade economy as well as in political committees. WIFT encourages women to take managerial responsibility, supports talents through targeted measures such as coaching and mentoring and increases the degree of popularity of "Trade Finance" at universities. At the same time, WIFT serves as a platform for exchange of experiences and sensitises politics and companies for the challenges in women sponsorship.
