The Healthy Hospitals Project (PHS) is a non-governmental organization, non-profit, dedicated to transform the health sector into an example for society, in matters such as environmental protection and health of workers, patients and population. The PHS accomplishes its mission through the following core goals: Develop researches, produce information and influence public policies in issues related to risks to patients, workers and the environment in health care sector; Raise public awareness and prepare health care professionals; Encourage public and private institutions to get involved and collaborate with the goals of PHS. Evaluate the results of preventive actions to avoid illness, accidents and environmental damage prevention actions developed by health care providers; Develop, evaluate and promote alternative technologies to eliminate or reduce environmental and health risks in health care activities; Promote ethics, peace, citizenship, human rights, democracy and others universal values.
