G.S.B.V. de Groene Uilen is the biggest, but also the coolest, student basketballclub of Groningen. Since 1957 the 'Uilen' are notorious in the North. The 150 members, divided over 6 men's and 5 women's teams, play in every division up untill the promotion league, which is the second highest basketball level in the Netherlands. However, 'Groene Uilen' is more than a basketball club alone. Parties, charity days and matches are always swamped with basketball enthusiasts. Here, you make friends for life.
