With its studio lot COLONEUM in Cologne (Germany) MMC is one of Europe’s largest and most advanced TV and film studio operators. From TV studios with sizes ranging from 1,900 sq ft to 28,000 sg ft up to Europe’s largest daylight studio and the world’s tallest soundstages – MMC operates a total of 20 state-of-the-art TV studios and soundstages with a total floor area of 290,000 sq ft, which offer space for productions of all formats. The majority of German TV shows are produced at the MMC Studios, and additionally, film productions as well as TV series. Moreover, the studios in Cologne are a popular location for company events, trade shows and eSports events. Pre-production, production, live broadcasting and post-production – MMC supports the entire production process with state-of-the-art technology, targeted scalable solutions and customized workflow. MMC’s Art Department builds set constructions for TV shows, sceneries for films and series, trade show and event architecture, as well as constructions for commercials and interiors – in our studios and at any desired location worldwide. MMC provides their entire range of services on location, so that customers can also benefit from MMC’s reliability and know-how outside its studio facilities. For outside broadcast productions, MMC deploys the resources of its sister company Crosscast GmbH, which operates a 16 camera Ultra HD HDR OB truck, several flyaway production units as well as an outside broadcast van for up to 12 cameras.
