The Best of Both Worlds: In 2017 Preferred Brands Produce and Simon & Leeman Produce merged operations to provide customers with an unparalleled produce experience. We capitalized on Preferred Brand’s high-quality reputation, fresh-cut processing facility, and personalized service; while utilizing Simon & Leeman’s technology, food safety certifications, and purchasing power through our affiliation with ProAct. Together, we aim to be our customers’ resource for the best produce experience in Michigan – one that blends superior quality and personalized service with greater access to fresh products, integrated service, and cutting edge ingredients. In the end, our goal is to deliver produce you take pride in serving your customers! Our 25,000 square foot distribution facility is located near downtown Detroit, a few miles from the Historic Eastern Market. Our Fresh Cut processing facility is the “old” Preferred Brands facility located near Southfield Highway and I-94 in Lincoln Park. We deliver 6 days a week to the southeast and central parts of Michigan (Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Flint) and northern Ohio (Toledo), and 3 days a week to Jackson, Battle Creek and Saginaw.
