Lehighton Electronics, Inc. (LEI) provides non-contact, non-destructive, in-process and post-process measurement and mapping of sheet resistance and carrier mobility of semiconducting and conducting layers and thin films on semiconducting and insulating substrates, enabling manufacturers to meet tight specifications in the most demanding applications, and minimize manufacturing cost, by maximizing process yield and efficiency. LEI was founded in 1963 by company president, Austin Blew and his wife Joanne. Initially LEI provided electronic assembly services, and soon added printed circuit board manufacturing. Today LEI offers a full line of process control instruments for the semiconductor industry. LEI's 1510 Contactless Measurement Systems have become the instrument of choice for the analysis of process layers on GaAs wafers. Our customer base has extended to evolving technologies such as flat panel displays, as well as applications beyond semiconductors. The technology allows for measurement of anything conductive. In the future LEI looks to meet characterization needs through the introduction of new systems, including the new Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) method that allows measurement of materials that challenge the traditional LEI products. We welcome discussion with early adopters. Each of these systems serve a unique need and are designed to provide timely process feedback control to ensure that the high value of the product is not compromised. We remain committed to understanding the unique requirements of our client's specific applications and to working with them to find the appropriate solutions.
