Cancer Research Malaysia (formerly known as Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation - CARIF) was set-up in 2001. It is the only non-profit cancer research laboratory dedicated to Malaysian cancer research. Over the years, our scientists, in collaboration with researchers both locally and worldwide, have achieved advances in the understanding of cancers, with a particular emphasis on cancers which are prevalent locally and regionally and using resources available from Malaysia’s biodiversity.
