The University of California Marching Band, aka Cal Band, is a student run marching band consisting of around 200 musicians. We are based out of UC Berkeley and have been marching since 1891 from our origins as an ROTC band. Usually we perform at every home football game cheering in the California Golden Bears. Due to our student-run nature, we have around 70 leadership positions to offer ranging from marching instruction to public relations and photography. You must be a student at UC Berkeley to join the marching band.
