The Life Science Zurich Graduate School (LSZGS) consists of 17 highly competitive Ph.D. programs and one MD/Ph.D. program, run jointly by the ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. We prepare young researchers to develop into tomorrow's leaders in research, industry and society. The Ph.D. programs cover the whole range of the Life Sciences from Structural Biology to Neuroscience and Integrative Molecular Medicine. They attract some of the best students worldwide by offering a compelling teaching curriculum and a comprehensive mentoring system. The study programs encompass specialized courses in the students’ specific area of research. In addition a great variety of transferable skills courses are offered to all doctoral candidates. Life Science Zurich Graduate School provides a vivid scientific and social community where students enjoy the opportunity to work with the leading scientists in their field of interest. With nearly 500 research groups and more than 1500 Ph.D. students, the LSZGS is one of the largest graduate schools in Europe.
