The StompOut Tobacco Challenge is the first, ever, worldwide collaborative effort to put the Tobacco industry out of business, once and for all. This worldwide year long event is sponsored by Sheriff Harold T. Butt, Jr. and the Butt Family Trust, based on Kentucky, USA. To drive this challenge to success, the Butt Family had made a generous donation to our campaign. A donation large enough not only to award challenge winners, but also enough to award a prize to every single participant! The StompOut Tobacco Challenge has two challenge opportunities, which are described in detail at stompout.org. The first challenge is the most important of the two. It is an online international petition imploring all governments that are in partnership with big tobacco, to recognize that their cash-cow relationship with tobacco manufacturers is despicable. For example of the United States government makes more money on the same of a pack of cigarettes than tobacco manufacturers. It's time for politicians to take their hands out of the cookie jar. Their efforts to "advertise away tobacco use" with TV commercials hasn't and isn't going to work. Statistically, everything that has been done to curtail tobacco use has had the opposite effect. There are more cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco and vaping then at any other point in history. The only reason big tobacco continues to remain in business is so that politicians can bring home more bacon to their constituents. Which is worse, publicly traded tobacco manufacturers making money from poisoning people, or the United States and other governments receiving more than half of the profits from the sale of inhalable poison? Too close to call? Not really. Government has the power to end the sale of tobacco. Officers and directors at publicly traded tobacco manufacturers have a fiduciary duty to their shareholders to keep their company thriving, regardless of what chewing and inhaling their product does to people, animals, the planet, etc. That's why they StompOut Tobacco Petition Mission is so important. The more people that sign it, the more clout we have as a group to bring about change. We'd like to know what the government is doing with the dirty money they're accepting from big tobacco? We'd like to know how much money makes addicting more people to tobacco worthwhile? Is there a formula? An algorithm? The death of X people is with $Y million dollars? We'd like to know what X equals and what Y equals? Does X vary based on what country the person lives in? Since tobacco product sales continue to grow disproportionately in third world countries, X must be a much larger number than X for people living in the US, right? Enough is enough already. The answer to the tobacco dilemma, (the death of millions of people from first hand and second smoking and chewing tobacco) had been the same since it became clear that tobacco maims and kills. End the production of it. Will it take time? Of course. Will there be setbacks? You can be certain of that. Should we have done this a long time ago? That's spilled milk now. Will people find ways to make their own tobacco? Probably. Is it the right thing to do, as soon as possible? You bet your ass it is. Join the StompOut Tobacco Challenge, and add your voice to ours.
