United Way of Northeastern Minnesota’s mission is to unite and focus our communities in creating measurable results to improve people’s lives and strengthen our families. We take a community-level approach to improving lives. We begin by mobilizing the community – not only the financial resources of businesses and employees – but people, time, talent, relationships, and expertise to create lasting community changes that advance the common good. Through ongoing community building, we raise funds to provide impactful programs and to support the critical work of nonprofit agencies in the areas of Helping Children Succeed, Empowering Healthy Lives, and Stabilizing Families and Individuals. UWNEMN serves agencies and individuals working or living in Northern St. Louis County, Koochiching County, Lake of the Woods County, and parts of Itasca County.
