Make Work Work Better
www.make-work.workIf it’s part of your job to lift heavy things, one of the first things that you are taught when you start work is how to lift heavy things without hurting yourself. But now, with more than half of work-related sick days due to mental ill-health, it’s clear that we need a similar approach for psychological wellbeing. CIPD recognise ‘Good Work’ as a key domain of wellbeing and ISO 45003, a standard for Psychological Health & Safety is due later this year. Traditional Workplace Wellbeing approaches focus on supporting and managing the symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression, and spend little to no time looking at the causes, but with absences due to work-related poor mental health increasing year-on-year and the pandemic bringing its own challenges, we have to look seriously at how the design of our work impacts our people. At Make Work Work Better, we believe that Well-Being starts with Well-Doing; that by fixing inefficient processes, ineffective communication and suboptimal personal organisation, we can create healthy, high-performing, engaged employees as well as improving the bottom line. We combine Lean and Agile approaches, the ground-breaking Getting Things Done productivity method and over 20 years experience in leadership and people management to deliver measurable improvements through our core Process Redesign, Team Cohesion and Personal Productivity programmes.
