Zia Films’ mission is to create movies that excite, engage and inspire the heart, mind and spirit! Zia Film’s two partners, Darryl Anka and Erica Jordan, and their production associates each have over thirty years of experience in producing, special effects design, fabrication, project coordination and production management. As producers, Erica and Darryl made the feature films “First Contact,” currently (2014) in post-production, and “Dearly Departed” which is currently selling on DVD and via downloads. As a writer, Darryl Anka wrote both Dearly Departed and First contact, has a produced feature film with Nu Image Entertainment, one script optioned by AMI Productions and one script optioned by The Mutual Film Company. In addition, two of Darryl’s scripts, “Ark” and “Alienated” made the top ten finalist list in the StoryPros screenplay contest, with “Alienated” going on to win second place in the comedy genre category and “Ark” winning best sci-fi screenplay in the Table Read Screenplay Contest.
