Helpers is a platform which enables users to outsource simple jobs and errands to a network of capable workers in your area. Whether you need something collected or delivered, a lawn freshly mowed or an extra pair of hands around the office, Helpers is a tool to make life simpler and let people forget about the small things. Helpers is here to help Helpers was established by three recent graduates whom consistently worked odd jobs and errands to fund college life. We recognised the availability and desire for students to work local jobs and errands for homeowners, friends, relatives and neighbours who were eager to avail of the extra set of hands, performing the tasks they could not fit into their rigorous schedule. Helpers will become Ireland and the UK’s first user-to-user network for outsourcing simple, informal and unskilled tasks. It will provide a localised and trusted venue for time-poor professionals to outsource their to-do list to capable and enthusiastic students. We aim to offer a credible and reliable method of selling tasks and jobs to time-rich, money-poor students. Helpers will manage and organise an online venue for both sets of users. We will develop the technology capable of posting, hosting and communication between parties. Secondly, we will manage, organise and vet available students by the use of student identity numbers. Lastly we will provide a simple online payment method for such transactions and develop a network of worker and user profiles. Through Helpers, users will now have a simple and reliable form of outsourcing the tasks they burden on themselves. In simple, Helpers aims to shift the work-life balance and make life easier.
