Article 28 of Law number 479 dated 12/12/2002 stipulates the creation of a mandatory Order for Nurses in Lebanon. The Order Council has the power to institute the Order’s statutes and amend it after the approval of the Ministry of Public Health. The nurses in Lebanon have only one mandatory order called “Order of Nurses in Lebanon”, its headquarter is in the capital Beirut, it gathers all nurses with a degree and having the right to exercise the nursing profession by an authorization granted by the Ministry of Public Health; it can create additional offices in any Mohafazat whenever necessary. Anytime the term “Order” appears, it means the “Order of Nurses in Lebanon”, and anytime the term “nurse” appears it means male and female nurses.
