Margie McNally is an interior designer and environmental consultant specializing in sustainable design and improving quality of life by enhancing living spaces. Her approach to interior design is a relationship between sustainability, resource efficiency, livability, good indoor environmental quality and optimal health. Margie has an associate’s degree in interior design and is licensed with NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) in the state of Massachusetts for the practice of interior design. She also is a USGBC (United States Green Building Council) LEED Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental design) as well as an ALA Lighting Associate (American Lighting Association). She has more than 20 years of experience in the environmental design field. Margie worked as The Environmental Program Coordinator for the American Lung Association in a team effort with southeastern Massachusetts schools to address indoor air quality issues. For several years Margie held the position of Lighting Program Coordinator for Massachusetts Energy Star Homes at Conservation Services Group where she also administered the LEED for Homes pilot program. She has conducted many workshops on green building including a BSA sponsored LEED for Homes training for architects and energy efficiency workshops at area colleges and technical high schools. She currently teaches the Materials, Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality online course for the Sustainable Design Program at Boston Architectural College.
