North Country Arts Council
www.nnyart.orgThe North Country Artists' Guild was established in 1948. This organization served the North Country by providing promotional opportunities to fine artists. In 2009, our mission was expanded and name changed to The North Country Arts Council (NCAC) to reflect our goal of encompassing all arts. Our Vision: The North Country Arts Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and promoting the arts in northern New York. We represent all areas of the arts - music, theatre, dance, literary arts, visual arts, and crafts. Our vision for the future is that residents of the North Country will be able to look to NCAC as a clearing house of opportunities for artists, get information about upcoming classes, and learn more about the programs we offer. The North Country Arts Council began as the North Country Artists’ Guild in 1948. It served the area by providing opportunities to fine artists. In 2009, the mission was expanded to promote growth in and through all creative art forms including, but not limited to, music, theater, dance, literature, and visual arts. A non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, the NCAC is a tool for developing and celebrating cultural opportunities in our community, making it a better place to live.
