Indie Volt supports independent creators and companies in film, comics, music and more by showcasing independent creations and byproducts. It encourages, publicizes, and cultivates innovation and artistry in all independent media, helping to create a public perception of the various products as rich, diverse, artistic, and culturally significant. Indie Volt's events (usually under the ICON label or branding) and related production and publication programs are designed to bring visibility to and facilitate the production of new works within the emerging independent movement. Like the independent creator community itself, Indie Volt's focus is global highlighting creators in Asia, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and anywhere else independent creators and companies are. Indie Volt was founded by Varian Grant in 2015, with the official website luanching in 2017, the streaming network Indie Volt TV launching on Roku the following year and the Indie Volt Radio app in 2018.
