Based in the Chicago-North area, PIDN is dedicated to advancing professionals in the development field by providing educational and networking opportunities. Founded in 1985 as Women in Development North (WIDN), Professionals in Development Network is a fresh step forward from the previous organization. While still committed to all of the important goals and values of WIDN, PIDN is creating a more inclusive community with a broader vision for serving professionals in development. PIDN offers rich programming and networking opportunities via monthly meetings on key development concepts and issues. We welcome those in transition as well as individuals with other professional ties to development.
