"My interest in the art of photography lies not with the camera but with seeing the beauty of the world through fresh perceptions." Damian Lidgard was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 2004. With a background in zoology, much of his inspiration comes from nature. He has studied contemplative photography to develop his ability to see more clearly and capture moments of expression. "This approach allows me to experience raw perceptions as they arise, either in nature or on the city street, and capture their genuine and often simple expressions on film. “ Each year Damian spends two months on Sable Island as a biologist, thus much of his work is from this magical island.
