CRRC Sifang America is part of the family of companies of CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC), a world leader in the designing, engineering and manufacturing of advanced passenger rail vehicles and high-speed trains. CRRC has produced rail cars operating in some of the world’s most populous and rapidly evolving cities and countries, including Beijing and Singapore. In 2016, CRRC Sifang America was awarded a contract, for up to $1.3 billion, by the CTA to supply more than 840 new railcars. CRRC Sifang America believes Chicago’s new railcars should be built locally and will hire and train local residents for more than 160 good-paying, head-of-household jobs.
