Founded in 1993 by Mr. Ahmer Bilal Soofi, Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Research Society of International Law (RSIL) is a research and policy institution whose mission is to conduct research on the intersection between international law and the Pakistani legal context. RSIL's mission is to help develop a rational approach in the analysis of local and international challenges through the understanding and implementation of international law and to build Pakistan's reputation as a responsible state through research, capacity building and institutional assistance to state, sub-state and inter-governmental organizations.
