First Step Alliance is a non-profit organization committed to advancing successful re-entry for formerly incarcerated individuals by providing critical access to the information and services people need to achieve sustainable financial independence. We do this by working with re-entry programs and other organizations to reach people in need. Our vision is to make impactful, permanent change to the systemic banking issues faced by millions of formerly incarcerated individuals. Our ultimate goal is to help start a new credit union dedicated to serving this community.
