Controlo Cargo Services Ltd was established in 1977 as a specialist in deep sea shipping of conventional containerised freight as well as break-bulk services. The company was acquired by Star Cargo plc in November 1991 who introduced a dedicated road trailer operation for full or part loads together with a range of European groupage services. Relocation near to Birmingham International Airport in 1995 meant that an airfreight division could be established and a full worldwide airfreight service offered. In 2010 came the launch of our Middle East division with a range of ships charter activities for bulk cargo combined with LCL & FCL Sea Freight and Air Freight services. Today Controlo has expanded to be one of the largest independent freight forwarders in the Midlands and offers a fully integrated Worldwide Logistics solution to exporters and importers Nationwide.
