BeAM Machines
www.addupsolutions.comBeAM, part of the AddUp Group, designs and produces industrial metal additive manufacturing machines utilizing Powder Metal Directed Energy Deposition technology (DED). BeAM’s process involves a custom deposition nozzle mounted on the Z-Axis of a CNC machine. The nozzle is moved in 3 linear axis while the build platform works in 2 rotational axes. This allows 5 continuous axes of freedom, to repair wear and defects in existing components or build new freeform shapes layer by layer. Utilizing traditional CNC controls and ISO G-code gives customers a tool that their skilled workforce is already accustom to. The BeAM DED process is used for a variety of industrial applications, including extending the life of parts by providing wear resistant coatings, multi-material applications, creating additional structures on preexisting parts, and building precise complex geometry with minimal machining and material waste. We work closely with customers and business partners to develop and industrialize manufacturing and repair processes with feasibility assessments, pilot production, sales of systems, training, and technical support.
