Partnership for Transparency
www.ptfund.orgPartnership for Transparency (PTF) works to advance innovative citizen-led approaches to improve governance, increase transparency, promote the rule of law and reduce corruption in developing countries. We provide technical assistance and support to civil society organizations (CSOs) that engage citizens in actions to improve governance, increase transparency and reduce corruption in developing countries. Throughout the project cycle we seek to draw lessons from these experiences and share the resulting knowledge widely to advance a culture of transparency around the world. Using our strong relationships with local partners and experience in citizen mobilization, we aim to improve governments' and development organizations' citizen and civil society engagement for more effective development. PTF is run almost entirely by volunteer international development specialists with a strong commitment to improving governance in developing countries. Over 70 Advisers serve as unpaid consultants to PTF and its partners by evaluating, managing and monitoring PTF's and its partners' programs and activities. They contribute the equivalent of at least $1.5million annually in volunteer work and allow for an incredible about of achievement with very limited resources.
