James Lenox House Association provides housing to older adults in two residences on Manhattan’s Upper East Side: James Lenox House and Carnegie East House. As part of the Mitchell-Lama Housing Program, James Lenox House, with 99 apartments, meets a growing need in New York City for reasonably priced housing with quality social services for men and women age 55 and older. Located in a comfortable Upper East Side neighborhood, near Central Park, James Lenox House provides a venue for older adults to remain healthy and active in the community. James Lenox House Association is truly dedicated to our mission of excellence in affordable housing for older adults. We have been committed to the care of older adults in our community since the founding of our Association in 1866. From the very beginning we have reached out to address the needs of our residents in creative and innovative ways. Through our various programs and initiatives, our goal is always the same: to help our residents lead healthy, safe, satisfying and meaningful lives.
