Case Management System Independence for Court Applications - Write Once Run Anywhere! CourtStack is a CMS independent platform and framework for building CMS add-on solutions. The goal of CourtStack is to deliver a common standards-based platform that will extend add-on solutions to all case management systems in an innovative and industry-transformative way. Our CourtStack mission is intentionally broad: “To empower the delivery of digital court services in an innovative and industry transformative way, that is intelligent, efficient, and cost-effective. CourtStack is a foundational set of platform services built on the concepts of the Court Component Model (CCM) that power state applications, custom branch applications, vendor solutions and integrations between branch entities and their partners. CourtStack is innovative in its development of the “Virtual CMS” which lays the foundation for the platform and ecosystem. The “Virtual CMS” is an abstraction layer that sits on top of the branch CMS implementation. This abstraction layer allows higher level components and applications to be written against it for interaction with the CMS. Applications and components interact with the Virtual CMS rather than the CMS directly. This abstraction gives the applications written for CourtStack the freedom to run on any CMS for which there is a Virtual CMS implementation.
