The Louisa County Chamber of Commerce was organized November 2, 1927 to promote business and industry in the county. Today, the Chamber is dedicated to helping make the county a better place for all its citizens. It is organized to achieve the objectives of preserving the free enterprise system of business by creating a better understanding and appreciation of the importance of business and a concern for their problems, being a voice of business to government at the local, regional, state and federal levels on all political and legislative issues, and developing strategies and programs that contribute to Louisa County’s economic development. It is the Chamber’s goal to foster cooperation with public and private development organizations, to promote a cooperative partnership between business and education, and support the continuing expansion of Louisa County’s leadership role among rural communities.
