NLFFI is a national effort that brings together nationally recognized leaders in the fields of Latino fatherhood, rites of passage, health, education, juvenile justice, social services, and advocacy. The goal of NLFFI is to address the multifaceted needs of Latino men and their families by building on the strengths of Latino cultural identity, values and traditions while addressing the very painful issues of child abuse, domestic violence, gang violence, school failure, illiteracy, teen pregnancy and other related issues. At the community level, the institute provides culturally sensitive social and educational services with programs designed to: Strengthen and preserve families Prevent teen pregnancy Influence men to become strong fathers and responsible men Provide culturally sensitive physical and mental health services At the national level, the institute provides services for associated professionals including: Consulting Seminars and conferences Onsite training and curriculum Publications
