Alongside its sister AKDN agencies, the Foundation implements innovative, community-driven solutions that are based in decades of experience, learning and evaluation. With a multi-sector, long term approach to development, AKF East Africa is currently engaged in programming across six key sectors: agriculture and food security, health and nutrition, economic inclusion, early childhood development, education, and civil society. We consider advancing gender equality and inclusion as critical to our mission and strive to mainstream gender and other critical considerations across our programmes and operations.
