The Department of Mathematics forms a vibrant intellectual community, comprising of excellent students, world-leading faculty, experienced professional services staff, and high-achieving alumni. The Department’s teaching and research are shaped to a large extent by its position within LSE. We view teaching and research as complementary activities, each enhancing the other.
