ACLO is the overarching student sports organization in Groningen. It's connected with the University of Groningen and the Hanze University for Applied Sciences. With 19.000 sporting students and 50 affiliated sport clubs, the ACLO is the biggest student sports organization of both the Netherlands and Europe. ACLO is fully managed by students. The daily board is composed of 6 students who are replaced each year. The general board is composed of 11 students who take seat for at least 2 years each.
