Located in the scenic Arkansas River Valley at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range, the Cotopaxi School District serves the town of Cotopaxi, as well as the surrounding communities along the river. Though small, the community is tight-knit with a strong tradition of school support. We serve around 200 students PK-12 across a district of over 350 square miles. The Cotopaxi School District is committed to providing a rigorous academic curriculum in a safe, supportive environment where students, staff and community work together to cultivate graduates and life-long learners that demonstrate the knowledge, work ethic, and practical skills necessary to become productive, responsible adults in a global society.
