Arwen loved fashion and understood the importance of sustainability. She continually refreshed her wardrobe through sites like Depop and vintage stores. She was a passionate wellness advocate and a dedicated yogi. Her mother Marie is sharing her story in order to cultivate greater empathy around mental illness and to hopefully start a new chapter in the conversation surrounding suicide prevention and bereavement. The founding ShareJoy team has backgrounds in media, financial services, education and technology. We want to ensure that young people and their families get the support and resources needed to navigate the social and economic consequences that the pandemic is having on youth mental health. Millions of euro worth of clothing is sitting dormant in our wardrobes. ShareJoy wants to leverage the power of pre-loved fashion in the circular economy to raise funds and reinforce the third sector. We also want to use technology in a positive and purpose driven way that is focused on time well spent.
