Election Integrity Foundation
www.electionintegrityfoundation.orgThe Election Integrity Foundation is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to create voting villages and other platforms with the purpose of teaching election cyber security, providing resources when needed to validate the process surrounding elections, and working to ensure better election platforms are developed for the future to provide the best integrity of the voting process. Our relationship and partnership with federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency management stakeholders have spanned multiple events over the past five (5) years. Our programs are diverse in size and sector. ● DEF CON Voting Machine Hacking Village, is a non-profit educational effort, bringing together State and Local government officials, Federal agencies, policy makers from all levels and a collection of the world top tier technologists to discover, share and educate all stakeholders about elections systems vulnerabilities and possible mitigation strategies. We hosted our 4th Annual Event on August 6th – 9th. In-person events have drawn over 30,000 attendees each year and over 10,000 annual visitors have interacted with Voting Village activities from hands-on experimenting to a multi-day election security speaker track. ● EIF Voting Sandboxes have broadened the understanding of election system risks to the wider security community at open security industry events like RSA and, for example, at corporate events during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. We have been involved in these activities over the past 5 years. Attendees have ranged from 1,000 people to upward of 15,000 attendees. ● EIF has set up invitation-only “Election Island” security training events for stakeholders like the National Guard and the US Military. These initiatives have been hosted at events like AvengerCon 2019. The purpose of these events is to get cyber defenders informed, educated, and to provide hands-on experience with the equipment.
