We are a social enterprise established in 2016 to address energy access issues in Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific region. Lead by and co-founded by our CEO Mrs. Bayu Setyaning we have delivered numerous solar PV smart modular minigrids and currently the only private company leasing energy access assets in Indonesia We developed a Rural Economic Development Delivery Model (RED-DM) to de-risk energy access investments in rural communities. The RED-DM relies on three pillars: - Participatory based methodologies and observatory triangulation for business model development - Implement appropriate innovative technologies including a smart modular minigrids and Integrated Power Units - Ongoing technical operation and maintenance, community training, and facilitation of income generating productive use of energy We understand rural communities, their motivations and needs, local resources and cultural sensitivities related to the success of energy access projects. Through our RED-DM, we develop business models for each energy access investment tranches that addresses general and specific risks to those projects. To fund our activities, we provide consulting services to clients using the profits for rural communities who need energy. Our consulting activities included site surveys, GIS based least cost electrification planning, business model development for rural electrification projects, project development support activities and many others. Having surveyed over 500 villages and designing/implementing/managing minigrids with over 5,000 beneficiaries, we have the skills, knowledge and experiences to help others de-risk energy access investments.
