The University Business Centres are an Anchor Institution in the Leeds City Region, with Centres based in Leeds, Wakefield and Halifax. They are delivered in partnership with the local councils in Calderdale and Wakefield to support their economic regeneration programmes and help to raise aspirations in these local areas. Through the Centres we support a thriving business community of 340 businesses from a range of sectors with office services and programmes of support to help them survive and grow. Our business community at times request information about student and graduate placements or to be connected with University staff who can support projects such as app development or product testing. Our Centres provide a space for our academics to engage and test their research with our business communities and where students can gain valuable experience through placements and internships.
