The Global Leadership Advancement Center (GLAC) is a research and training institute located in the College of Business at San José State University. Our mission is to advance, foster, and disseminate cutting-edge knowledge on global leadership and its development. Global problems and the global reach of organizations have created a need for global leaders and citizens. Studies by Rand and IBM predict future shortages of global leaders in public, private and non-profit sectors and urge universities to add global leadership to their curriculum. In response, the Global Leadership Advancement Center (GLAC) at San Jose State University was founded to create and disseminate knowledge on global leadership and its development. In its GLLab, GLAC trains students in the competencies needed to succeed in global work, which are equally valuable in any diverse work setting.
